How to Write
Your Memoirs
Memoirs are very popular these days for people wanting to share
an account of their life experiences. Indeed, it’s often said
that everybody’s got a book in them. Memoirs are evidence to
this idea.
Each and every one of us has had some experience that deserves
to be documented and other people deserve to learn from. The
word memoir comes from the Latin word memory. It is a less
structured, exhaustive, or formal form of documenting your life
than an autobiography is, which makes them more appealing to
write than autobiographies.
Most people want to write their experiences but documenting
your life from Genesis to Revelations is a bit much for most
people. Publishing your memoirs is a great way to leave a
written record of your life and times for your great
grandchildren.
Families have many different heirlooms but I know that past
other things I will pass down to my great grandchildren, the
most important thing I can leave is my thoughts, heart, and
philosophy of life. The most effective and lasting way I can
instill my legacy into future generations is to leave my family
a book of my thoughts, times, and
memories.

You have at least one good book inside of
you; the book about you. You should definitely write your
memoirs and publish them. Leaving this is just as, if not even
more, important than leaving money, land, a business, or other
heirlooms to the youth of your family.
